The craft

Six weeks of
patience.

Cold-process soap cannot be rushed. What looks like a simple bar is really a slow chemical conversation between oil, water, and time.

Glass bottles of botanical essential oils used in Rosella soap

01

Weigh & blend

Cold-pressed olive, coconut, and shea are weighed to the gram. Botanicals are infused slowly, never boiled — heat takes the goodness with it.

02

Saponify

Lye meets oil at a low temperature. We stir by hand until trace, then fold in clays, petals, and essential oils.

03

Pour & set

The batter goes into cedar moulds, swirled by hand, and rests overnight under blankets to keep the heat even.

04

Cut & stamp

Each loaf is cut into bars with a wire, then stamped with the Rosella mark while still soft.

05

Cure six weeks

Bars rest on cedar racks, turning weekly. Water evaporates, the bar hardens, and the lather becomes dense and creamy.

06

Wrap & send

Wrapped in unbleached paper with a botanical seal. No plastic, no filler, nothing to throw away.

What we won't compromise

Botanical only

Essential oils and plant clays. No synthetic fragrance, ever.

Cold-processed

Low heat preserves the natural glycerine that softens skin.

Plastic-free

Unbleached paper wrap, compostable seal, recyclable post.

Small batch

Never more than 120 bars at a time, so every one is checked.

Rosella

Small-batch soap, poured by hand in our studio. Cold-processed, cured for six weeks, and made with ingredients we can name.
